Craft
Ikat is a resist dyeing technique that is used to develop a textile. In the process weft and/or warp yarns are tied in a desired pattern and dyed prior to the weaving of fabric. Ikat has its origin from Indonesia, derived from a malay word, it means 'to tie'. When either warp or weft yarns are dyed it is known as single ikat fabric and when both the weft and the warp are dyed then it is known as a double ikat fabric
